Nothing to see here
I will be ridiculously busy until the end of the month and probably won't be posting. OK, I shouldn't be posting. Knowing my love of procrastinating, I wouldn't count it out.
Unfortunately, Lingster's former webhost sent Transvigor to the big bit bucket in the sky and he's decamped to new territory at the unfortunately named Amaz0ns using some tragically confusing "content management" software, whose motto is, ironically "power in simplicity." After searching for a few minutes to find a commenting facility, I gave up and am calling him out here. I'm not entirely sure what advantages this software has over WordPress, well, besides coming out of the box with more boxes than a Mondrian painting...
Lingster still runs the best blog in this space, even the software confuses the f#&% out of me....

I'm hoping Lingster will have the new site fully operational and explained soon. He claims that more explanation is forthcoming, and so far things ahve been getting slowly clearer with each new update.
But it is still taking a ridiculous amount of time.
And I don't think he has commenting enabled yet, but it sounds like he's planning on turning it into a more BBS-type format. :\

Yeah, the software reminds me a bit of Scoop (the notoriously difficult to install community site software behind kuri5hin and Daily Kos), except that it is missing many of the community features.
And I'm still not sure what advantage it offers over WordPress, which I think can be used in a more community-like setting when using user-level settings, except that it gives hims something to occupy his free time configuring.
I think I get the vibe that he's going for. We'll see whether it works or not. On the plus side, his new header graphics look nice.
